HIBUK (Hug) Health & Community Connection
Our Flagship Initiative. Leading the integrative healthcare of tomorrow
More than a scholarship — HIBUK is a comprehensive training program. This flagship initiative of Bemitavi connects academic learning with real-life experience, equipping the next generation of healthcare professionals with essential skills that are often missing from formal training: listening, compassion, presence, and seeing the whole person.
A bridge between worlds
The HIBUK Program (Health & Community Connection) was created to bridge medical knowledge with the human qualities of care. The program connects students in health and care professions with people facing medical challenges, creating a meaningful intergenerational relationship.
While participants benefit from emotional support and reduced loneliness, students receive professional guidance, advanced training, and hands-on experience in integrative, person-centered care.
